A circular-economy platform for end-of-life batteries

PT Recycle Technology Materials (RTM) is a proposed Indonesian company established to collect, process, and recover valuable materials from end-of-life lithium-ion batteries and battery production scrap. Materials are anticipated to be sourced from across the battery ecosystem — electric vehicles, battery manufacturing, fleets, battery-swap networks, and energy storage systems.

Rather than treating spent batteries as waste, RTM is being designed to return their critical minerals and metals to the manufacturing supply chain — reducing reliance on primary raw material extraction and strengthening domestic value creation.

Development stage: RTM is a proposed, pre-Final Investment Decision (pre-FID) company. The information on this site describes planned capabilities, subject to feasibility, permitting, and final investment decisions.

Receiving, safe discharge, dismantling, shredding, and separation — producing black mass alongside recovered copper, aluminium, steel, and plastics.

Adding chemical refining capability to recover battery-grade nickel, cobalt, lithium, and manganese from black mass — moving further up the value chain.
